The most important event on the French Riviera, for its 124th edition will be «King of Masquerades », from 13th February to 1st March.

The theme for 2009 evokes the art of concealment in every sense : wearing a mask, changing one’s appearance, staging, in short the art of deception. From a simple disguise to plastic surgery, from manipulation to celebrity press & the Carnival is no longer the only realm of fancy dress and device in all its forms, represented in a modern and outrageous fantasy…

Cartoonists from the most important international newspapers, privileged witnesses of their time and their culture, have once again been approached to create the visual identity of a modern carnival & whilst respecting tradition. All the Carnival parades will be located on the new place Massena and around the garden Albert 1st and the Flower parades will take place along the Promenade des Anglais or sea-front and will feature numerous innovations …
